Crossroads League Announces Athletes of the Week | November 27-December 3

 JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the league’s top individual performances from November 27 through December 3. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week’s winners.

Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Bailey Kelham, Huntington
Kelham led Huntington to a pair of league victories with 22.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per outing. The freshman guard shot 63.6 percent from the floor and 53.8 percent from deep, while pouring in over 20 points in each win.

 

Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Drew Lutz, Bethel
Lutz netted 24.0 points and 5.0 assists per game in RV Bethel’s clashes with Huntington and No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan. Lutz had 23 points and six assists in a 101-96 win over HU, before adding 25 points and four helpers in a four-point loss at IWU.

 

Women’s Bowler of the Week
Tandess O’Neal, Marian
O’Neal posted finishes of first and second overall in the first two Crossroads League meets of the season. The junior posted scores of 870 and 796 to lead Marian to a pair of runner-up finishes.

 

Men’s Bowler of the Week
Nickolas Archacki, Marian
Archacki turned in a pair of top-five showings at the first two Crossroads League meets of the season, winning Saturday’s competition with a score of 905. The junior also rolled an 840 on Friday to help the Knights sweep the weekend action.
