Valpo Athletics Boasts 93 Percent Graduation Success Rate for Second Straight Year

Valparaiso University student-athletes continued to thrive academically as the NCAA released its latest Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data on Wednesday. Valpo boasted an overall GSR of 93 percent for the current cohort, remaining steady with last year’s rate.

Eight Valpo programs received perfect scores for the current cohort – men’s golf, men’s swimming, bowling, women’s golf, softball, women’s swimming, tennis and volleyball. Every Valpo program earned a GSR of 85 or better.

This tied with last year’s GSR for the department’s highest in 10 years. Valpo has posted a GSR of 82 or better every year since the NCAA began compiling these figures with the incoming freshman class of 1995. The most recent Division-I Graduation Success Rates are based on the four entering classes from 2013-2016.
