Crossroads League Announces Athletes of the Week | December 4-10

JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the league’s top individual performances from December 4 through 10. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week’s winners.
Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Lilli Frasure, Indiana Wesleyan
Frasure scored 22 points in No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan’s 82-74 win at No. 1 Campbellsville and added nine rebounds and five assists in the contest, while shooting 69.2 percent from the floor. For the week, Frasure had 22.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists in two IWU victories.

Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Gabe Newhof, Spring Arbor
Newhof poured in a career-high 37 points for Spring Arbor in a 93-80 win against Kuyper. The sophomore forward made 12-of-18 attempts from the field and 13-of-16 free throws, while grabbing eight rebounds, three blocks and three assists.

Women’s Bowler of the Week
Kayla Tafanelli, Spring Arbor
Tafanelli claimed the individual title at the WHAC Open with a four-game score of 958 to help Spring Arbor to a fourth-place showing at the 16-team event.

Men’s Bowler of the Week
Carson Kohler, Spring Arbor
Kohler took runner-up in a field north of 200 competitors at the WHAC Open with a score of 905 over four games. Kohler’s efforts helped SAU to a second-place finish at the 18-team event.
