Top five remain the same in USA Today/NFCA DI Top 25 Coaches Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – No. 1 Texas extended its winning streak to 13 games as the top five teams remained the same in this week’s USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll.

With four more triumphs, the top-ranked Longhorns (42-6) continue as No. 1 for the third straight week and have not dropped a contest since game one against Oklahoma on April 5. Following a pair of 2-1 victories over the Sooners, the Longhorns have averaged 8.4 runs over their last 11 games.

The remaining top five – No. 2 Oklahoma, No. 3 Tennessee, No. 4 Oklahoma State and No. 5 Duke – each won their respective conference series and posted a 12-1 overall mark.

Just one week after entering the top 10, UCLA and Texas A&M continued to rise inside it to No. 7 and 8, respectively. The Bruins (30-10) reached the 30-win plateau following a 3-1 week that included a Pac-12 series win over then-No. 19 Arizona, while the Aggies (39-9) picked up a pair of non-conference wins against Houston and Sam Houston State.

Outside the top 10, Florida State and the previously-mentioned Ragin’ Cajuns (38-14) made the biggest moves of the week, elevating four spots each to No. 12 and 21, respectively.
