JOLIET, Ill. — Top-seeded University of St. Francis won in its last at-bat for the third game in a row and No. 5 seed St. Ambrose outslugged its two opponents on Saturday to remain as the lone two teams left standing at the 2024 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament.

The two squads will face off on Championship Monday for the right to go to the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round.  First pitch is slated for 7 pm at Duly Health and Care Field in downtown Joliet.

A win by St. Francis (28-19) would punch the Saints’ ticket to the next round of the postseason, while St. Ambrose (28-21) would require a win both on Monday and Tuesday night (7 pm) to earn the same right.
