Tyler Braidic Appointed Head Men’s Basketball Coach Holy Cross College

Holy Cross College is proud to announce the appointment of Tyler Braidic as Head Men’s Basketball Coach for the College. Braidic, a long-time assistant coach with the Holy Cross men’s basketball program, brings a wealth of experience and a strong vision for the future of the team.

Braidic has long desired to see the Holy Cross College Men’s Basketball program return to levels of national prominence, and now he is at the spearhead of that mission. His dedication to the program is evident through his extensive involvement in all phases of leading the men’s basketball program, including practice planning, game preparation, decision-making, and recruiting coordination.

“First, I’m blessed and excited for the opportunity to be a part of the future growth of Holy Cross College and the athletics department. I want to thank Dr. Robert Pastoor, Special Assistant to the Office of the President, and the search committee for entrusting me to lead the men’s basketball program and for sharing their vision of Holy Cross College. My family and I are excited for this next chapter in our lives. Holy Cross men’s basketball will continue to pursue championships, both on and off the court, while keeping the student-athlete experience at the forefront,” Braidic shares.

Braidic’s coaching journey spans over a decade, with significant contributions at various collegiate levels. Prior to his tenure at Holy Cross College, Braidic served as the Associate Head Coach at Huntington University, Graduate Assistant Coach at Hawaii Pacific University, and Assistant Head Coach at Tusculum College and Columbus State Community College. His coaching expertise, coupled with his commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the court, has led to numerous achievements, including national rankings, conference championships, and postseason tournament appearances.

The appointment of Tyler Braidic as Head Men’s Basketball Coach is particularly noteworthy considering the highly competitive pool of candidates, which included past and present head and assistant coaches at the NAIA and NCAA level. His progression from assistant coach to head coach is a testament to Braidic’s years of dedication to Holy Cross men’s basketball and the entire athletic department. Braidic’s transition to Head Coach also strongly aligns with President Marco Clark’s strategic plan for Holy Cross College, which emphasizes the development of the whole person, fostering a culture of excellence on the court, in the classroom, and in our community.

“I am thrilled for Tyler. He earned this position with his tremendous vision, love for the players and the game, and his high energy and impact. The future looks bright for Holy Cross men’s basketball,” said Dr. Marco Clark, President of Holy Cross College.

Braidic’s extensive coaching experience, combined with his long-time passion for mentoring the unique, young athletes of Holy Cross, makes him an ideal fit to lead the Holy Cross College Men’s Basketball program. As he takes on this new role, Braidic’s primary focus remains on building a winning program while creating a culture known for excellence both on and off the court.
