Fountain Central’s Herb King picked up his 200th career victory with the Mustangs’ 20-18 win over Covington.

Whiteland’s Darrin Fisher earned career victory No. 200 with the Warriors’ 27-14 win over Franklin.

Trailing 38-7 in the third quarter, Martinsville rallied for 32 unanswered points to post a 39-38 win over defending Class 5A state runner-up Decatur Central.

Mississinewa and Warren Central have not been scored upon through the first four games, while Brownstown Central is averaging 56.25 points per contest.

Indiana Football Hall of Fame member and legendary Sheridan boss Larry “Bud” Wright has been cleared by school officials to return to the sidelines after being put on administrative leave. Indiana high school’s all-time winningest coach was not on the sidelines for the Blackhawks’ 43-26 win over Clinton Central on September 13. He also missed Sheridan’s season opener against Western Boone while recovering from surgery for a broken right arm.
