Shilts Repeats as MSFA Mideast League Special Teams Player of the Week

UPLAND, Ind. – TU’s Lucas Shilts took home the MSFA Mideast League Special Teams Player-of-the-Week honor for a second-straight week and the third time this season for his role in Taylor’s 20-14 win over Concordia in the season finale.

Shilts accounted for eight points in the win, connecting on field goals of 27 and 33 yards and successfully converting on each of his point-after ties.

The MSFA weekly award is the third of the season for Shilts and the fifth of his career. The honor brings Taylor’s total number of weekly league awards for the fall season to 26, with 16 of those selections being earned by the football program.

Shilts and the No. 22 Trojans completed their record-setting 2024 season at 9-2 overall and in second place in the MSFA Mideast League with a 4-1 clip.
