Taylor Names Aaron as Next Men’s Soccer Head Coach
UPLAND, Ind. – Taylor University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Kyle Gould, announced on Monday that Parker Aaron had been hired as the head coach for the TU men’s soccer program.
“After a long and thorough search, we are incredibly excited to name Parker Aaron as our next men’s soccer head coach,” said Gould. “Parker has gained valuable experience working with some of the top minds in the sport. Those experiences, coupled with his passion for the game, his drive to be successful and his desire to combine his love of soccer with his faith all make him the ideal candidate to lead our program forward. We look forward to getting started and supporting him in every way.”
Aaron comes to Taylor after a two-year stay at NCAA Division I James Madison University, where he served as an assistant coach for the Dukes’ women’s soccer program. In his two seasons on the sidelines with JMU, Aaron helped the program to an overall record of 21-9-13 and the 2024 Sun Belt Championship.

Throughout the interview process, it was clear that Taylor is a special place, dedicated to pursuing excellence in all aspects of the student-athlete experience. I have never encountered a place with such a strong sense of community and I am excited to contribute to the remarkable culture of faith that has been built at Taylor.”
During his stay at James Madison, Aaron learned under head coach Joshua Walters, Sr., who took over the Dukes in 2018. Walters Sr. earned national attention by recruiting the No. 1 and No. 2-ranked classes in the nation at UCLA in 2016 and 2017 and helping the Bruins to an 85-20-11 mark during his five years on staff with the Bruins.
“Parker is a fantastic hire,” stated Walters. “He is one of the young bright coaches in the game. Parker loves challenges and helping student-athletes chase their dreams. I could not be more excited for him and Sydney.”
In addition to helping JMU to the Sun Belt’s regular season and tournament titles in 2024, Aaron helped the Dukes to the 2023 and 2024 NCAA National Tournament, marking the program’s first trips to Nationals since 2008.
Aaron also helped lay the foundation for sustained success at James Madison by assisting with the No. 34 and No. 40-ranked recruiting classes in NCAA Division I for 2023 and 2024.
In addition to his role at James Madison, Aaron was the head men’s soccer coach with Blue Ridge FC in the UPSL, leading that club to a 6-3-0 record in its inaugural 2024 campaign.
Prior to beginning his coaching career, Aaron played competitively at NCAA Division III Randolph College, while leading the squad as a captain. Aaron graduated from Randolph with a degree in sport and exercise science and is working toward a master’s degree in coaching.
Aaron holds a USSF Soccer Coaching National C License and is on track to earn the USSF B License Diploma in the summer of 2025.
Aaron is married to his wife, Sydney, and is set begin his tenure as the fourth head coach in the history of the TU men’s soccer program at the beginning of the spring semester.
