STAYING ALIVE

Warsaw (25-4): Parker Justice netted 17 points, including a three-pointer to send the game into overtime, to guide the No. 9 Tigers to back-to-back sectional titles with a 78-74 win over No. 9 Northridge in the Class 4A Elkhart final.

Jimtown (15-10): Javen Jackson’s 16 points helped the Jimmies to their first Class 2A sectional crown since 2004 with a 54-40 decision over Bremen.

Riley (21-4): Jaylen Barbara’s 12 points lifted the Wildcats to their first sectional title since 2021 with a 55-39 win over LaPorte in the Class 4A Michigan City final.

Saint Joseph (23-3): Elijah King canned 20 points to lead the No. 2 Huskies to their second straight sectional crown with a 47-45 win over Culver Academy in the Class 3A Plymouth finale.

Adams (13-11): Jarvis Tolbert tallied 13 points in the Eagles’ 70-54 loss to Riley in the Class 4A Michigan City sectional semifinals.

Bremen (13-11): Chase Devine finished with 21 points for the Lions against Jimtown.

Concord (13-10): Reese Breveard had seven points in the Minutemen’s 44-30 loss to No. 9 Warsaw in the Class 4A Elkhart sectional quarterfinals.

Elkhart (5-18): Mickey Gilbert ended with six points in the host Lions’ 49-34 loss to No. 9 Northridge in the Class 4A Elkhart sectional semifinals.

Glenn (3-20): James Messer closed with seven points in the Falcons’ 49-41 loss to New Prairie in the Class 3A Plymouth sectional quarterfinals.

Goshen (14-10): Karter Marcum totaled 11 points in the RedHawks’ 59-51 setback to No. 9 Warsaw in the Class 4A Elkhart sectional semifinals.

Knox (4-19): Myles McLaughlin mustered only four points in the Redskins’ 68=27 loss to host Jimtown in the Class 2A sectional semifinals.

LaVille (15-9): Collin Czarnecki called it a career with 19 points in the Lancers’ 63-42 loss to host Jimtown in the Class 2A sectional quarterfinals.

Marian (15-10): Paxan Sullivan contributed 14 points in the Knights’ 69-47 loss to No. 2 Saint Joseph in the Class 3A Plymouth sectional semifinals.

Mishawaka (5-18): Brandon Peate had two points off the bench for the Cavemen in their 62-40 loss to Riley in the Class 4A Michigan City sectional quarterfinals.

New Prairie (6-18): Jayden Clemons closed out with five points in the Cougars’ 70-32 loss to Culver Academy in the Class 3A Plymouth sectional semifinals.

Northridge (21-4): Brady Scholl’s 24 points were not enough for the Raiders against Warsaw.

NorthWood (19-5): Maddux Everingham was limited to four points in the host Panthers’ 46-45 loss to Columbia City in the Class 3A sectional quarterfinals.

Penn (16-9): Alex Hawthorne canned 15 points in the Kingsmen’s 52-37 loss to LaPorte in the Class 4A Michigan City sectional quarterfinals.

Plymouth (9-14): Kadyn Ellery totaled 11 points in the host Pilgrims’ 53-36 loss to Marian in the Class 3A sectional quarterfinals.

Tippecanoe Valley (20-6): DeOndre Hamilton had seven points in the Vikings’ 47-45 overtime setback to Columbia City in the Class 3A NorthWood sectional title affair.

Washington (16-8): Josh Johnson’s 11 points were not enough in the Panthers’ 85-69 loss to No. 2 Saint Joseph in the Class 3A Plymouth sectional quarterfinals.

Wawasee (6-17): Nolan Holzwart’s 10 points were not enough in the Warriors’ 44-29 loss to Tippecanoe Valley in the Class 3A NorthWood sectional semifinals.

NEXT TEST

Riley (21-4) vs. Warsaw (25-4) (Class 4A Washington): The Wildcats are going for their first regional crown since 2015, while Warsaw’s last title came in 2016.

Jimtown (15-10) vs. Westview (18-7) (Class 2A Triton): The Jimmies are back in the regional for the first time since winning the 2004 Class 2A state championship, while Westview has not won a regional since 2018.

Saint Joseph (23-3) vs. Columbia City (17-9) (Class 3A Washington): The Huskies are trying to make it two straight regional titles, while Columbia City has not celebrated a regional championship since 2011.
