Top Ranked College of Idaho Raises the NAIA MBB Red Banner with decisive 93-65 Oklahoma Wesleyan

2025 NAIA Men’s Basketball National Championship

For the second time in two years the No. 1 College of Idaho Yotes have won the NAIA Men’s Basketball National Championship, as they defeated No. 7 Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles, 93-65, on Tuesday night inside historic Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City.

For the third time in program history, No. 1 College of Idaho are the NAIA Men’s Basketball National Champions. The Yotes nearly led throughout in a 93-65 victory over No. 7 Oklahoma Wesleyan.

GAME NOTES/HIGHLIGHTS – College of Idaho

  • College of Idaho concludes their national title season with a record of 35-2.
  • The Yotes end the season on a 25-game winning streak.
  • This is the third NAIA National Championship in program history.
  • The Yotes won in 1996, 2023 and now 2025.
  • Head coach Colby Blaine now has two NAIA National Championship leading the Yotes.
  • The Yotes started out white hot, shooting 80-percent in their first 10 three-point attempts, as they went 8-of-10 in that stretch.
  • Dougie Williams was perfect from three-point range in the first half going, 5-of-5, and finished the half with 17 points.
  • Williams finished with 21 points.
  • 11 different Yotes scored a point on the night.
  • Samaje Morgan led all scorers on the floor with 28 points on 11-of-15 shooting.
  • The Yotes outrebounded the Eagles, 37-35.
  • COI held the Eagles to 37.1-percent shooting on 23-of-62.
  • The Yotes also forced 16 turnovers.

  • Oklahoma Wesleyan ends their season 28-8.
  • This marked the second NAIA Men’s Basketball National Championship game for the Eagles. They won the national title in 2009.
  • This was the third NAIA Fab Four in program history.
  • Law also had a team-high three blocks.
  • Jade Lietzke and Nick Bene both led the squad in scoring with 15 points each.
  • Lietzke ended with a double-double 10 rebounds.
