NAIA Top 25 features five MSFA programs to open new season
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Five teams feature in the NAIA Football Preseason Poll released on Monday, with defending Mideast League champs Indiana Wesleyan leading the way.
The Wildcats enter play this season ranked No. 6 in the nation, while two other MSFA teams break into the top 25. Midwest League co-champs Marian and Saint Francis (Ind.) are both ranked, at No. 23 and No. 24, respectively.
Earning votes but falling just outside of the top 25 were Taylor (67 pts.), and St. Francis (Ill.) (4).
Taylor, along with the 23rd-ranked Knights open the 2025 season on Thursday night; The Trojsn host Olivet Nazarene in an MSFA Crossover matchup, while Marian welcomes NCAA Division II crosstown rival, Indianapolis.
On Saturday, No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan faces the toughest test of the week, when they host No. 2 Keiser (Fla.). No. 24 Saint Francis welcomes No. 20 Campbellsville (Ky.) in another key Week 0 contest.
