Dutton named NAIA National Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Indiana Wesleyan return specialist Drew Dutton was named the NAIA Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance on Saturday, as the No. 5 Wildcats defeated Judson 65-14.
Dutton became just the sixth player in MSFA history to return two kick returns for touchdowns. The sophomore ran one back midway through the second quarter, putting the Wildcats up 37-7, then did it again for 95 yards in the third quarter as Indiana Wesleyan continued to pull away for the win.
The national player of the week award is the first for Dutton, and is the latest for a special teamer in the MSFA since Week 9 last season (Austin Deleon, USF-IN).
