CLASS 6A
Westfield (10-2) at Carroll (Fort Wayne) (9-3): The No. 6 Shamrocks earned a 37-14 win over No. 10 Carroll (Fort Wayne) in the 2021 regional finale. Isaac Weingart racked up 10 tackles in Westfield’s 20-10 win over No. 9 Fishers. Coleman Tipton accounted for 11 tackles and an interception in the Chargers’ 41-30 win at No. 5 Penn. Matt’s pick: Westfield 28, Carroll (Fort Wayne) 20.
Warren Central (8-4) at Brownsburg (12-0): The top-ranked and defending state champion Bulldogs suffered a 14-6 loss to No. 11 Warren Central in the 2009 Class 5A regional final. Keysean Williams-Jarrett came up with four receptions for 34 yards with a touchdown in the Warriors’ 24-21 win at No. 4 Center Grove. Brady Lewis carried the ball 10 times for 46 yards with a score in Brownsburg’s 47-23 win over No. 8 and defending Class 5A state champion Decatur Central. Matt’s pick: Brownsburg 33, Warren Central 17.

Concord (11-1) at Merrillville (10-2): Tavion Beach caught three passes for 46 yards in the No. 6 Minutemen’s 47-45 win over No. 2 Lafayette Jeff. Dermont Bogard accounted for five catches for 27 yards with a touchdown in the No. 5 Pirates’ 34-14 win over No. 12 Michigan City. Matt’s pick: Concord 35, Merrillville 33.
Bloomington South (11-1) at New Palestine (12-0): The No. 1 and defending Class 4A state champion Dragons blanked No. 4 Bloomington South, 45-0, in the 2019 semistate final. Charlie Morris tallied eight tackles and an interception in the Panthers’ 55-7 win over No. 7 Floyd Central. Sam Hirschy finished with seven tackles, including two for loss, and two quarterback sacks, in New Palestine’s 20-6 win at No. 9 East Central. Matt’s pick: New Palestine 40, Bloomington South 14.
CLASS 4A
South Bend Saint Joseph (12-1) at Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger (11-2): The No. 8 Saints marched past No. 7 Saint Joseph, 41-7, in the 2015 semistate finale. David Waite ran 24 times for 79 yards in the Huskies’ 10-7 win over Hobart. Cooper Campbell amassed six tackles and an interception in Bishop Dwenger’s 39-27 win over Lebanon. Matt’s pick: Bishop Dwenger 19, Saint Joseph 16.
Heritage Hills (12-1) at Indianapolis Roncalli (10-3): The No. 4 and defending Class 3A state champion Patriots claimed a 27-0 win over No. 6 Roncalli in the 2000 Class 3A southern semistate. Tyce Winchell raced six times for 30 yards and recorded five tackles and an interception in Heritage Hills’ 35-19 win over Martinsville. Casey Horton finished with nine tackles in the Royals’ 31-27 win over No. 13 Yorktown. Matt’s pick: Heritage Hills 38, Roncalli 34.
CLASS 3A
Knox (13-0) at Fort Wayne Bishop Luers (8-5): Brian Korcha amassed seven tackles in the No. 4 Redskins’ 28-21 win over Angola. Rory Kelly contributed two tackles and a pair of fumble recoveries in the defending state runner-up Knights’ 14-7 win over No. 13 Twin Lakes. Matt’s pick: Bishop Luers 32, Knox 30.
Gibson Southern (12-1) at Cascade (13-0) (Saturday): Caden Rochleau came up with two rushes for 68 yards with a touchdown and completed 3-of-5 for 37 yards with another score in the No. 3 Titans’ 42-14 win over Indian Creek. Baynx Stirling mustered eight tackles in the No. 2 Cadets’ 37-33 win over No. 5 Lawrenceburg. Matt’s pick: Cascade 39, Gibson Southern 24.
CLASS 2A
Adams Central (13-0) at Andrean (11-1): The No. 1 and defending state champion Flying Jets clinched their fourth straight trip to the state title game with a 20-13 win over No. 5 Andrean in last year’s northern semistate. Joey Everett raced for 45 yards and caught a 22-yard touchdown pass in Adams Central’s 42-28 win over No. 4 Eastbrook. Jaden Lofay ended with 10 tackles in the 59ers’ 52-32 win over Southmont. Matt’s pick: Adams Central 31, Andrean 24.
Brownstown Central (13-0) at Lapel (13-0): Trey Sweany romped eight times for 76 yards with a score and added a tackle in the No. 2 Braves’ 43-18 win at No. 10 and defending state runner-up Linton-Stockton. Reed Hamilton caught two passes for 43 yards with a touchdown and chipped in four tackles and two pass deflections in the No. 3 Bulldogs’ 38-7 win over No. 6 Indianapolis Lutheran. Matt’s pick: Brownstown Central 36, Lapel 34.
CLASS 1A
Pioneer (12-1) at South Adams (10-3): The No. 3 Panthers cruised to a 62-7 win over No. 12 South Adams in the 2014 northern semistate. Eli Guffey rolled up five tackles in Pioneer’s 34-14 win over LaVille. Jax Wanner hauled in two receptions for 61 yards with a score in the No. 12 Starfires’ 25-23 win over North Miami. Matt’s pick: Pioneer 41, South Adams 38.
South Putnam (11-2) at Milan (7-4): Keenan Mowery-Shields racked up 20 tackles with 1.5 for loss, ran four times for 35 yards with a touchdown, and caught a 16-yard pass in the No. 5 Eagles’ 26-6 win over No. 11 Sheridan. Micah Norman chipped in four tackles and a pair of interceptions in the Indians’ 22-7 upset of No. 5 and defending state champion Providence. Matt’s pick: South Putnam 43, Milan 19.
