LAST ONES STANDING

Andrean (12-1): Bruce Moorhouse returned a blocked punt 27 yards for a touchdown in the No. 5 59ers’ 24-19 upset of top-ranked and defending state champion Adams Central for the Class 2A northern semistate crown.

Brownsburg (13-0): Brady Lewis contributed five carries for 45 yards with a touchdown in the top-ranked and defending state champion Bulldogs’ 31-0 win over No. 11 Warren Central in the Class 6A southern semistate.

Brownstown Central (14-0): Ethan Wheeles’ 19-yard touchdown reception with less than two minutes remaining clinched the No. 2 Braves’ 31-21 win over No. 3 Lapel for the Class 2A southern semistate championship.

Cascade (14-0): TJ Turner racked up 17 tackles as the No. 2 Cadets earned their first semistate title with a 49-34 win over No. 3 Gibson Southern in the Class 3A southern semistate finale.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger (12-2): AJ Shefferly tallied 16 carries for 60 yards with a touchdown in the No. 8 Saints’ 28-7 win over No. 7 Saint Joseph in the Class 4A northern semistate final.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers (9-5): Brandon Gaither accounted for 17 rushes for 81 yards with two scores in the defending state runner-up Knights’ 35-0 blanking of No. 4 Knox for the Class 3A northern semistate title.

Indianapolis Roncalli (11-3): Alex Jarvis had 12 carries for 61 yards with a score in the No. 6 Royals’ 42-14 win over No. 4 and defending Class 3A state champion Heritage Hills for the Class 4A southern semistate crown.

Merrillville (11-2): Michael Hill completed 5-of-10 for 68 yards and carried the ball seven times for 31 yards in the No. 5 Pirates’ 41-14 win over No. 6 Concord for the Class 5A northern semistate championship.

New Palestine (13-0): Mason Oglesby hauled in a 92-yard touchdown reception and recovered a fumble in the top-ranked and defending Class 4A state champion Dragons’ 42-0 blanking of No. 4 Bloomington South for the Class 5A southern semistate title.

Pioneer (13-1): Shiloh Rine chipped in 15 rushes for 79 yards with a touchdown, five tackles, and an interception in the No. 3 Panthers’ 31-14 win over No. 12 South Adams in the Class 1A northern semistate final.

South Putnam (12-2): Blake Witt snatched an 89-yard touchdown pass, carried the ball twice for four yards, and intercepted a pass in the No. 5 Eagles’ 40-7 win over Milan for the Class 1A southern semistate crown.

Westfield (11-2): Aiden Grabowski ran 16 times for 90 yards with a touchdown and completed 6-of-9 for 44 yards in the No. 6 Shamrocks’ 35-14 win over No. 10 Carroll (Fort Wayne) for the Class 6A northern semistate title.

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES

Adams Central (13-1): Joey Everett’s 95-yard touchdown reception was not enough for the Flying Jets against Andrean.

Bloomington South (11-2): Jalen Williams came up with six catches for 75 yards for the Panthers against New Palestine.

Carroll (Fort Wayne) (9-4): Mason Baughman caught six passes for 82 yards with a touchdown for the Chargers against Westfield.

Concord (11-2): Derek Gomez closed with four receptions for 41 yards and nine tackles for the Minutemen against Merrillville.

Gibson Southern (12-2): Colin Scherer rambled for 69 yards for the Titans against Cascade.

Heritage Hills (12-2): Jett Goldsberry ended with 16 rushes for 65 yards and completed 6-of-14 for 51 yards with a touchdown for the Patriots against Roncalli.

Knox (13-1): Myles McLaughlin managed just 78 yards for the Redskins against Bishop Luers. He ended the season with 4,846 yards and 71 touchdowns, which are both new national records. For his career, he closed with 174 scores and 11,839 yards, which ended up 285 yards short of the national record held by Derek Henry of the Baltimore Ravens, who had 12,124 career yards.

Lapel (13-1): Andrew Evelo registered three catches for 30 yards with a touchdown for the Bulldogs against Brownstown Central.

Milan (7-5): Wyatt Marsh mustered 11 carries for 44 yards with a score for the Indians against South Putnam.

Saint Joseph (12-2): David Waite finished with 17 rushes for 71 yards for the Huskies against Bishop Dwenger.

South Adams (10-4): Kaleb Minger carried the ball five times for 66 yards and registered five tackles for the Starfires against Pioneer.

Warren Central (8-5): Keyon Thomas was limited to eight carries for 24 yards for the Warriors against Brownsburg.

FINAL EXAMS

Andrean (12-1) vs. Brownstown Central (14-0) (Class 2A): The 59ers are going for their first state title since 2021, while Brownstown Central is making its first appearance in the finals.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger (11-2) vs. Indianapolis Roncalli (11-3) (Class 4A): The Saints’ last championship came in 2018, while Roncalli won its last crown in 2020.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers (9-5) vs. Cascade (14-0) (Class 3A): The Knights are in the title game for the third year in a row, winning the Class 2A championship in 2023, while Cascade is visiting Lucas Oil Stadium for the first time.

Merrillville (11-2) vs. New Palestine (13-0) (Class 5A): The Pirates return to Indianapolis for the first time since claiming the Class 3A crown in 1976, while New Palestine is going for back-to-back championships, winning the Class 4A title a season ago.

Pioneer (13-1) vs. South Putnam (12-2) (Class 1A): The Panthers are back in the finals since winning the 2018 title, while South Putnam’s last championship occurred in 1986.

Westfield (11-2) vs. Brownsburg (13-0) (Class 6A): In a rematch of last year’s finale, the Shamrocks have not won a state championship since earning the Class 5A crown in 2016, while Brownsburg is going for two straight titles.
