Rashad Bishop Comannded The Glass Last Week Earning Gared Performance Sports Defensive Player of the Week Honors

Kansas City, Mo. – Rashad Bishop picks up his first Gared Performance Sports System NAIA Defensive Player of the Week honors this season after collecting nearly double-digit blocks over three games last week for the Tigers of Georgetown (Ky.).

A Louisville, Ky. native, Bishop commanded the defensive glass, helping the Tigers go 3-0 on the week. Grabbing 17 defensive boards, 21 total, he also swiped two steals and posted a no-fly zone with eight blocks. Half of Bishop’s blocks came in a 97-81 victory at home against WVU Tech (W. Va.), while his week high 10 defensive boards happened the following day against Midway (Ky.) in a 107-67 win.

Gared Performance Sports Systems NAIA Men’s Basketball Defensive Players of the Week are announced every Tuesday throughout the season, with the final player of the week for the first half of the season being released on December 9.
