FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Nov. 30, 2025 (Week 14)

ABOUT THE FWAA: Founded in 1941, the Football Writers Association of America consists of journalists, broadcasters, publicists, photographers and
key executives in all areas of college football. The FWAA works to govern media access and gameday operations while presenting awards and honors,
including an annual All-America team.

NOTES: The Super 16 teams posted a dominant 14–2 record in Week 14, as the nation’s top teams continued to assert control over their own destinies with Selection Sunday just a week away.

Ohio State earned 54 of 56 first-place votes and held the No. 1 spot for a school-record 14th straight week, following a 27-9 victory at Michigan in The Game. No. 2 Indiana received two first-place votes.

Texas A&M was the highest-ranked team to fall in Week 14, dropping four spots to No. 7 after a 10-point loss at Texas.

The Longhorns climbed three positions to No. 13 with their win in the Lone Star Showdown.

Georgia moved into the No. 3 slot after defeating Georgia Tech 16-9 in Atlanta. Michigan fell out of the poll following its home loss to the Buckeyes and was replaced by Virginia.

Notably, the SEC went a 10th consecutive week without a team ranked in the top two—its longest stretch in poll history, surpassing the previous mark of nine weeks set in 2015.

The SEC topped all conferences with seven ranked teams, followed by the Big 12 and Big Ten with three each, the ACC with two, and one FBS Independent.

North Texas led all Group of Five programs this week with four points.

 NEXT WEEK’S SCHEDULE:

No. 1 Ohio State vs. No. 2 Indiana in Indianapolis (Big Ten Championship Game)

No. 3 Georgia vs. No. 9 Alabama in Atlanta (SEC Championship Game)

No. 5 Texas Tech vs. No. 11 BYU in Arlington, Texas (Big 12 Championship Game)

No. 16 Virginia vs. Duke in Charlotte (ACC Championship Game)
