The Holy Cross College women’s basketball team returned to McKenna Arena in style on Monday afternoon, defeating Goshen College 80–64 in their final contest of the 2025 calendar year.
The Saints set the tone early, jumping out to a 25–13 lead after the first quarter behind strong defensive pressure and efficient shooting. Holy Cross continued to build momentum in the second period, outscoring the Maple Leafs 20–12 to take a commanding 45–25 advantage into halftime.
Holy Cross showed no signs of slowing down in the third quarter, posting 24 points while limiting Goshen to 20. The Saints’ ball movement and dominance on the glass helped stretch the lead to as many as 26 late in the period, firmly putting the game out of reach.
Despite a late push from Goshen in the fourth quarter, Holy Cross maintained control and closed out the 80–64 victory to improve to 8–6 overall and 4–2 in conference play.
Kaiden Hanley led all scorers with 17 points and added 10 rebounds for a double-double performance. Sincere Coleman-Francis followed closely with 16 points, while Allie Caldwell contributed 12 points and knocked down two three-pointers. Brock Bittermann added eight points off the bench, and the Saints finished with a strong balanced effort, totaling 23 bench points.
Holy Cross controlled the boards with a 50–34 rebounding advantage and capitalized on turnovers, scoring 23 points off of Goshen.
The Saints will look to carry this momentum into the new year as conference play continues at home on Saturday January 3rd, 2026 against Olivet Nazarene! Tipoff is set for 1:00PM!
