Ancilla College had two baseball players receive post-season honors this week.

Sophomore Jalen Alexander was named Michigan Community College Athletic Association Western Division honorable mention after completing his second season at Ancilla College.  Alexander pitched and played the infield, but it was his hitting that stood out. He hit .352 on the season with a pair of home runs, seven doubles and 10 RBIs. He posted a .491 slugging percentage and a .435 on base percentage.

Freshman Will Malekovic was named Michigan Community College Athletic Association Western Division honorable mention after completing his first season with Ancilla College. Malekovic hit .363, had 20 RBIs, four home runs and four doubles. He posted a .522 slugging percentage and a .405 on base percentage. The LaPorte native played in the infield and caught for the Chargers.

Ancilla finished the year 5-30 overall and 4-24 in the MCCAA. Despite the wins and losses, the Chargers were more competitive this year and are expected to continue to improve as first-year head coach Chris Woodruff heads into his second year and has a full recruiting cycle to find players.
