Audrey Lerch leads Bethel Women’s Soccer past USF (IN)

MISHAWAKA, Ind. — The Bethel Pilots Women’s Soccer team (6-4-1, 2-2) defeated University of Saint Francis (3-8-2, 0-4) 4-0 on Morey Field, improving to 2-2 in Crossroads League play.

The Pilots came out strong as they applied pressure and forced an error on the top of the opponent’s box. Leena Thomas took advantage of it and found the back of the net in the third minute.

Audrey Lerch and the Pilot offense continued to get shots on goal throughout the match. Bethel had 19 total shots, 11 of them being on goal.

Lerch obtained a hat trick as she finished in the box in the 61st minute from a pass from Thomas to give the Pilots their sixth win of the season.
