Bethel Men’s Soccer races past Goshen to win US Highway 20 Cup for the third straight time

MISHAWAKA, Ind. — The Bethel Pilots Men’s Soccer team (11-2-3, 5-0-2) won the US Highway 20 Cup for the third straight time since 2021 over the Goshen Maple Leafs (1-13-1, 0-6-1) at Morey Field on Saturday night 3-1.

In the seventh minute, Luan Bressy scored from an assist from Jefter Pereira to take an early lead.

In the closing minutes of the first half, Julian Vargas Talamantes gave the Pilots their second goal with Bressy’s pass in the 45th minute.

Piero Sabroso capped off the Pilot scoring with the dagger crossed in by Sami Charaf Amal in the 57th minute.

The Maple Leafs didn’t leave Mishawaka silently by scoring off the rebound of a penalty kick and avoided the shutout.
