Bethel Men’s Soccer rolls to 16th straight victory with Crossroads League semi-final win over RV Huntington

Mishawaka, Ind. — It was a beautiful November night at Morey Field as NAIA #6 Bethel University emerged victorious over RV Huntington University 1-0 in the Crossroads League Tournament Semifinals.

The two teams went scoreless in the 45 minutes but Bethel controlled possession for most of the opening half, outshooting Huntington 8-2.
The lone goal of the game came early in the second half when Salifyaji Mugala beat his man on the right side of the field and took a shot that was deflected by the keeper and tapped in by Luan Bressy.

The remainder of the game was hard fought by both teams, with 10 fouls committed by Bethel and 9 by Huntington, but the Pilots were able to hold on for the win, their 16th consecutive victory.

The 2022 Regular Season Crossroads League Champions will battle Spring Arbor University, who upset #2 seed Grace Wednesday evening. The League Championship will take place at Morey Field on Saturday, November 12 at 1:00 p.m.
