Bethel WBB improve to 4-0 with 93-57 win over IU Columbus

MISHAWAKA, Ind. —The Bethel Pilots improve to 4-0 following their 93-57 defeat of the IU Columbus Crimson Pride (1-5) in the Gates Gymnasium on Wednesday evening. 

Gracie LambesMariah ClaywellJustyce Williams, and Olivia Nickerson each posted 13 pts for the Bethel offense. 

Justyce Williams shot 3-4 from behind the arc (75%).

Jazmyn Smith led the team in rebounds (eight). 

In the opening quarter, the Pilots posted a tremendous seven-point run, kicked off by Olivia Nickerson from downtown (7:58).

Nickerson also concluded the run with a layup (4:04) as the Pilots led by ten (14-4).

Luvrain Gaskins closed out the first with a layup (27-12). 

In the final quarter of the night, Bethel shot nearly double the amount of points of the Crimson Pride (22-12). 

Justyce Williams nailed both three-point attempts in the fourth (8:41, 6:17), as the Pilots left Wiekamp victorious. 

The Bethel Pilots will next face the Rochester Christian Warriors (1-2) in homecoming weekend on Sat, Nov. 15. Tip-off is set for 12 PM in the Gates Gymnasium.
