Bethel’s Izzy Aigner named NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Freshman Izzy Aigner of the Bethel Pilots Women’s Golf team has been honored as the NCCAA Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week after earning medalist honors at the Rumble at the Rock, marking a significant milestone in her collegiate career.

 

Aigner showcased her talent and determination by scoring a consistent 76-76 over the two-day tournament held at Rock Hollow Golf Course. Her impressive performance not only secured her the top spot.

 

The Pilots trailed Grace by as many as 14 strokes early in the final round but grabbed a brief 3-stroke lead with six holes to go before struggling late. Bethel’s 319-318 was 9 strokes off the pace set by the Lancers. The Pilots won the Rumble at the Rock, which marked their third straight tournament win this season.

 

The Pilots continue the season with the Stonehenge Invitational, hosted by Grace College, at Stonehenge Golf Club in Winona Lake, Ind. on Monday, Sept. 20 with the tee time set for 8 a.m.
