Bethel’s Julian Vargas hits a game-winner in a 1-0 victory over Taylor

Upland, Ind. — The Bethel Pilots Men’s Soccer team (12-2-3, 6-0-2) took on Taylor University (4-11-1, 1-6-1) and ended with a 1-0 win on the road.

Bethel got 17 shots up during the match, with 10 coming in the second half. Bethel also earned six corners to Taylor’s five.

Late in the first half, the Pilots’ offense capitalized in the 37th minute with a goal from Julian Vargas, assisted by Isaac Hernandez.

The Pilots continue dominating the Crossroads League as they take on a formidable foe in #4 Grace College on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
