Bethel’s Kerkoski Named NAIA Defender of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Bethel (Ind.) libero Eduardo Kerkoski is the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Defender of the Week after anchoring the 10th-ranked Pilots’ defense in a pair of wins with 41 total digs, 5.13 per set. 

Kerkoski opened the week with a season-best 25 digs in a five-set win over Indiana Tech, adding four assists and 40 service receptions. He followed with 16 digs in a three-set victory over Defiance (Ohio). 

A native of Curitiba, Brazil, Kerkoski averaged 5.13 digs per set, pushing his season average to 3.36 digs per set, eighth-best in the NAIA. 

Bethel is 9-2 and in action three times this week, including Friday night versus Lawrence Tech (Mich.).
