Bethel’s Goalie Meghan Kiebel named NCCAA Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Meghan Kiebel was crucial for Bethel University this week, helping them start conference play with a 1-1-0 record. The native of Albion, Indiana, made 12 saves and allowed just one goal in 180 minutes in net, recording seven saves in the win over Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU).

Bethel earned the 1-0 shutout behind Kiebel’s seven saves to defeat MVNU for the first time since 2011. Earlier in the week, Kiebel gave up just one goal to NAIA (24) Taylor University in a 1-0 loss while making five saves.
