  • All seven schools will be in action this weekend, including three teams hosting non-conference series on home ice. No. 12/12 Michigan and No. 1/1 Notre Dame will both host a Friday-Saturday series on home ice, with the Wolverines welcoming St. Lawrence and the Fighting Irish hosting No. 3/2 Minnesota Duluth. No. 14/13 Wisconsin will host Michigan Tech, while No. 4/4 Ohio State will face No. 15/- Bowling Green in a home-and-home series. The Buckeyes will welcome the Falcons on Friday before visiting them on Saturday. No. 10/9 Penn State hosts a top-15 contest on Friday against No. 13/14 Princeton, Michigan State travels to No. 8/8 Cornell for a Friday-Saturday series and No. 5/5 Minnesota takes on No. 17/- North Dakota in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game on Saturday in Las Vegas…

  • Since the 2013-14 season, six Big Ten schools (Michigan, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin) have been ranked in the top five of both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls. Those six teams have combined to be ranked in the top five of both polls a total of 107 times, with at least one top-five team in 80 out of 130 weeks…

  • Three active Big Ten coaches have amassed at least 200 wins in their careers, led by one who has more than 400 career victories. Notre Dame’s Jeff Jackson is the conference’s active wins leader with 481 career victories. He is followed by Penn State’s Guy Gadowsky (280) and Bob Motzko (277). Jackson currently ranks fourth among active Division I coaches in career victories, while Gadowsky and Motzko rank 17th and 18th, respectively…
