• Seven Big Ten teams were among this week’s AVCA/TARAFLEX Top 25, announced on Monday: #1 Nebraska, #9 Purdue, #11 Wisconsin, #17 USC, #18 Indiana, #22 Minnesota and #25 Penn State. Michigan and UCLA are receiving votes in this week’s poll.
• Six Big Ten teams are among the Top 25 in the latest RPI rankings: #1 Nebraska, #6 Purdue, tied at No. 12 are Indiana and Minnesota, #17 USC and #20 Wisconsin. Six additional teams are among the top 50, including #26 Penn State, #30 Michigan, #34 Michigan State, #35 Illinois, #37 UCLA and #42 Washington.
• Nebraska won the first-ever Big Ten Discover Challenge, finishing with a perfect 5-0 record in the select Challenge matches. Purdue also went 5-0 in challenge matches, and tiebreaking procedures were followed to determine the winner.
• FS1 is set to carry three Big Ten volleyball matches this week. First is No. 11 Wisconsin vs. No. 22 Minnesota on Wednesday night at the UW Field House. First serve is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. The network will broadcast a doubleheader on Thursday, beginning with Illinois at Nebraska (8 p.m. ET), followed by UCLA at Oregon at 10 p.m. ET. On Sunday, Nebraska hosts Minnesota at 3:30 p.m. ET live on Peacock. Big Ten volleyball television coverage for this week concludes with a standalone match on Big Ten Network between the Nittany Lions and Fighting Illini on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. ET. • Indiana improved to 9-3 in Big Ten play with its first-ever road win at Penn State on Sunday. Indiana moved up six spots in this week’s AVCA poll to No. 18, its highest ranking in program history. Indiana has won three-straight matches, all of them in three sets. It’s the first time since 1990 that the Hoosiers have swept three straight Big Ten opponents.
• The Huskers improved to 22-0 and 12-0 in Big Ten play with a pair of sweeps over No. 11 Wisconsin and Oregon. Nebraska has won 40 sets in a row, has swept 13 matches in a row and is the only undefeated program in the nation, receiving all 61 first-place votes in this week’s AVCA poll.
• Offensively, the Huskers have hit better than .300 in 13 straight matches, a school record in the rally-scoring era. Nebraska leads the nation in terms of hitting percentage, hitting at a .339 efficiency throughout its 22 matches.
• Purdue’s three reverse sweeps this season are the most in program history for the Boilermakers. Purdue moved up one spot in this week’s AVCA poll to No. 9, its highest ranking in 2025.
• USC enters the week on a season-long, six-match win streak heading into the final four weeks of the regular season.
• Six Big Ten programs rank within the top 25 nationally in terms of hitting percentage, led by #1 Nebraska (.339), #4 Wisconsin (.304), #9 Indiana (.294), #12 Purdue (.286), #15 Michigan (.281) and #19 Minnesota (.276).
• Individually, Nebraska’s Andi Jackson is 11th nationally with a .422 hitting percentage, followed by Michigan’s Serena Nyambio, who is 18th and hitting at a .415 clip. The Huskers’ Rebekah Allick is the other Big Ten player among the top 25 at #21 with a .412 hitting percentage.
