Carney Shines at St. Claire CC Invitational

Port Huron, MI – The Ancilla men’s bowling team has consisted of just three bowlers this season. That has not stopped them from some individual honors and a couple of surprising team scores. Friday was no different as sophomore Michael Carney captured the top series (622) and the top individual game (243) at the St. Claire Community College Invitational at Port Huron Lanes.
Freshman Vaughn Schroeder finished sixth with a 548 series and Jarrett Whitehead shot a 489 series. As a team the trio finished fifth (2,876), with Jackson College winning the event with a 3,966 score.
Next Friday they will be in Muskegon for the MCCAA/Region XII Championship at Northway Lanes. The match will get under way about 10 a.m.
