The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Boone Grove senior quarterback Jake Mayersky and NorthWood junior quarterback Nate Newcomer.
In Saturday’s 42-13 Greater South Shore Conference victory Hanover Central, Mayersky completed 8-of-13 passes for 205 yards with two touchdowns (a passer rating of 145.0), and added 53 yards on the ground with another score to help the Wolves improve to 6-0 for the first time in program history.
In Saturday’s 34-14 Northern Lakes Conference win at Northridge, Newcomer overcame an elbow injury which caused him to miss the previous game against Wawasee to complete 12-of-16 passes for 211 yards with four touchdowns. He also ran 19 times for 99 yards to help the Panthers (4-2) to their third straight victory.
The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
