LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Oklahoma’s Jayda Coleman and Oklahoma State’s Lexi Kilfoyl secured 2024 Division I Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week honors. The duo led their squads to Big 12 series wins over RV Kansas and then-No. 2 Texas, respectively.

Coleman reached base in all but one of her 14 plate appearances last week. In a road sweep of the Jayhawks, Coleman went 6-for-7 (.857) with seven walks, eight runs scored and three long balls. She posted three multi-hit contests and reached base five times in consecutive games. Coleman homered twice, scored four times, drove in three runs and drew three free passes during a 17-0 game-two victory. She also left the yard in the series finale with three more runs scored and three walks.

Kilfoyl shut down the No. 2 offense in Division I in both her starts to lift the then-No. 8 Cowgirls to a series victory over the Longhorns. The graduate hurler twirled a pair of complete game shutouts, including a two-hit gem in the finale to secure the series. The shutouts marked the first two times this season Texas has been held scoreless. She scattered nine singles with two walks and 11 punchouts over 14 innings of work. Her masterful performance (4 K, 1 BB) on March 30 was the first time the Longhorns recorded fewer than five hits in 2024.

The Division I Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week are voted on by the NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll Committee.
