Crossroads League Announces Athletes of the Week | December 12-18

 

JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the league’s top individual performances from December 12 through 18. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week’s winners.

Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Alana Nelson, Spring Arbor

Nelson helped Spring Arbor to a pair of wins with 26.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game. The junior forward shot 64.7 percent from the floor and 60.0 percent from deep while scoring 29 and 24 points in the two victories.

 

Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Jason Hubbard, Taylor
Hubbard delivered one of the best performances of the season in the NAIA, hitting 20-of-26 field goal attempts and ending with a career-high 55 points for Taylor at Northwestern Ohio. Hubbard scored 40 points in the second half and added 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks.
