Crossroads League Announces Athletes of the Week | December 23-29

JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the league’s top individual performances from December 23 through 29. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week’s winners.
Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Isabella Gizzi, Saint Francis
Gizzi scored 19 points in USF’s 31-point win at Rochester Christian, sinking seven-of-eight shots from the floor and all four looks from long distance. Gizzi also added three steals in the blowout win.
Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Cassidy Crawford, Saint Francis
Crawford and the Cougars limited Rochester Christian to 42 points in a road win, posting six rebounds, three steals and one block to go with four assists.
Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Dylan Moles, Marian
Moles posted a team-high 21 points in an easy, 105-54, win for Marian over East-West. Moles shot nine-of-13 from the floor and was three-of-five from beyond the arc in 20 minutes of work.
Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Gavin Foe, Marian
Foe picked up four steals and five rebounds in just 17 minutes of action during Marian’s 51-point win over East-West.
