Crossroads League Announces Athletes of the Week | December 24-30

 

AVON, Ohio – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the top athletes from the week of December 24 through 30. Sports Information Directors from the league nominate student-athletes for the award and vote on each week’s winners.

Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Kyle Mangas, Indiana Wesleyan

Mangas poured in 39 points, including 27 in the second half to help No. 4 Indiana Wesleyan overcome a 17-point deficit to No. 13 Indiana Tech. Mangas finished with 39 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in the 87-85 win, while hitting 14-of-22 shots.

Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Vironnica Drake, Grace

Drake narrowly missed a triple-double in Grace’s 83-58 win over Asbury, as the junior guard logged 20 points, nine rebounds, nine steals and five assists in just 24:27 of court time. Drake sank seven-of-15 field goals in the win.
