Crossroads League Announces Athletes of the Week | November 13-19

JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the league’s top individual performances from November 13 through 19. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week’s winners.

Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Abbey McNally, Marian
McNally averaged 16.0 points and 14.0 rebounds in a pair of lopsided victories for No. 6 Marian over Olivet Nazarene and RV Grace. McNally highlighted MU’s 110-69 win over Olivet Nazarene with 26 points and 23 rebounds.

 

Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Gabe Newhof, Spring Arbor
Newhof continued his stellar season, this time posting 30.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steal per game in a pair of outings. The Spring Arbor sophomore shot 71.9 percent from the field and went for 29 points, nine rebounds and four helpers in SAU’s league-opening victory.
