Crossroads League Announces Athletes of the Week | November 18-24

JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the league’s top individual performances from November 18 through 24. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week’s winners.
Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Abbey McNally, Marian
McNally helped No. 19 Marian to wins over Grace and Spring Arbor with 23.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per outing. In the win over Grace, McNally joined MU’s 1,000-point club with a program-best 38 points.

Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Lilli Frasure, Indiana Wesleyan
Frasure tallied five steals and 18 rebounds for No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan in its wins over RV Huntington and Grace. In addition to the 9.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per outing, Frasure posted 17.5 points and 4.0 assists.

Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Ian Raasch, Grace
Raasch led No. 21 Grace to wins over No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan and Marian, with 19.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per win. Raasch shot eight-of-13 from the field in each game, shooting 61.5 percent for the week.

Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Anton Webb, Taylor
Webb held his main defensive assignments to a combined 16 points on 15 shots over two games, while also averaging 3.0 steals, 1.0 blocks and 8.5 defensive rebounds per game. Webb also scored 17.0 points per game on 62.5-percent shooting.

Women’s Bowler of the Week
Devon Thomas, Spring Arbor
Thomas took eighth-of-150 bowlers at the NAIA Invitational with a five-game scoring average of 200.2 and a game-high of 241. The play of Thomas helped SAU finish sixth-of-16 in the team standings.

Men’s Bowler of the Week
Brendan Riley, Goshen
Riley repeated the award, averaging 225.0 pins per game for Goshen at the Warrior Classic. The freshman placed third-of-101 competitors at the event and scored over 200 in each game.
