Crossroads League Announces Women’s Basketball Award Winners

 

AVON, Ohio – The Crossroads League announced its 2018-2019 Women’s Basketball All-League honors on Wednesday, two days after Taylor clinched the Crossroads League Tournament Championship after tying Marian for the regular season title.

 

The Trojans collected six postseason awards from five individuals, highlighted by Kendall Bradbury being voted the Crossroads League Player of the Year and Jody Martinez being named the CL Coach of the Year. Bradbury and Becca Buchs were also named as CL First-Team selections, with Aubrey Wright taking Third-Team honors and Abby Buchs being named Honorable Mention All-CL for Taylor.

 

Indiana Wesleyan’s Margot Woughter was voted as the Crossroads League’s Freshman of the Year, with Marian’s Dejah Cyrus, Huntington’s Sarah Fryman and IWU’s Nicole Ignasiak joining Taylor’s Bradbury and Buchs as CL First-Team standouts.

 

The All-Crossroads League honors are voted on by the 10 head coaches from around the league and announced by the Crossroads League office.
