Plymouth, IN – After a pair of defeats on the road, the Ancilla College men’s basketball team took out their frustrations on the Trine University JV Thursday night as they rolled to a 104-79 victory at the LifePlex.

Trine stayed close in the first half before Ancilla claimed a 47-35 halftime advantage. Coach Brian Pearison tried several lineups in the first half, trying to find a combination that could both score and play defense.

Six-five freshman forward Weston Sage (Elkhart) was one of those players as he came off the bench to post a career-high and game-high 23 points. Sage hit nine of his 11 shots from the field and grabbed six rebounds. Albert Haskins (Chicago) scored 13 points and snagged seven rebounds, with Nathan Meriweather (Indianapolis) netting 12 points. Marco Beverly (Anderson) and Tyrese Walker (Michigan City) each scored 10 points.

Ancilla will travel to Chicago to play Olive-Harvey College on Saturday in a 4 p.m. contest.
