SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (18-6, 13-3 CCAC) defeated the Saint Ambrose University Fighting Bees (12-12, 9-7 CCAC) by a final score of 91-71

Saturday’s win improves the Titans conference record to 13-3 and leaves them just two games behind Roosevelt University for first place in the CCAC.

Tied at 24-24 more than halfway through the first half, IUSB went on a 21-9 run to end the first half and take a 12 point lead going into halftime.

The Fighting Bees cut the IU South Bend lead to just nine points with just over eight minutes to play before a Saint Ambrose technical foul sparked a 25-14 IUSB run to close out the game as the Titans went on to win Saturday’s CCAC affair by a final score of 91-71.

A balanced Titans offense saw five players score in double figures, led by reigning CCAC Player of the Week Dejon Barney who finished with a game high 32 points.

Barney’s 32 points came on only three missed field goals (13-16) while also securing 11 rebounds for his fifth double-double in the last six games.

Other Titans to score in double figures included Quentez Columbus, Terry Ford and Micah Poole who all finished with 11 points while senior Sam Snodgrass finished Saturday’s win with 10 points.

The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Wednesday, February 14th, when they travel to Chicago, Ill., to take on the Saint Xavier Cougars.
