Georgia, Michigan, Texas & Florida State Top Week 3 Rankings for the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll

WEEK 4 POLL NOTES:
Top-ranked Georgia remained No. 1 for another week, but they struggled to stay there in a come-from-behind victory over South Carolina in Athens. Florida State had to hold-off Boston College on the road. Texas needed a big fourth quarter to beat Wyoming in Austin. And Alabama outlasted USF.on the road.

As a result, Texas still moved into the No. 3 slot, replacing Florida State, which fell to No. 4. Alabama dropped two spots to No. 12. Colorado kept its record unbeaten, but needed two overtimes to overcome Colorado State in Boulder.

Thirteen of the 15 poll members which played on Saturday (USC was idle) won, but it wasn’t always pretty. The losing poll members were Tennessee( previously No. 11), which lost at Florida, and No. 15 Kansas State, the defending Big 12 Conference champion, which dropped a 30-27 decision to Missouri on a 61-yard field goal on the last play of the game. Both Tennessee and Kansas State dropped out of the poll and were replaced by Oklahoma and Oregon State.

The Pac-12 led all leagues with six teams, followed by the Big Ten and the SEC with three each, the Big 12 with two and the ACC and Independents with one each.

UAB at No. 1 Georgia
