Grace given NCCAA Presidential Award for fourth straight year
WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Grace College athletic department increased its streak for four consecutive years winning the NCCAA’s top honor.
Grace earned the NCCAA Presidential Award for the fourth straight year, presented to Director of Athletics Chad Briscoe at the NCCAA annual convention.
The Presidential Award recognizes the top athletic department for the school year. The standings are calculated based on team finishes at NCCAA national championship events. No institution has won more than three-straight outright NCCAA Div. I Presidential Awards apart from Grace’s current streak.
Grace won five national championships during the 2023-24 season, including three-peats for men’s cross country and women’s cross country. Additionally, women’s outdoor track and field won their second straight, and volleyball and women’s basketball also claimed national titles during the year.
“These awards are a direct reflection of the tremendous work throughout the year put in by our coaches and student-athletes,” said Grace Director of Athletics Chad Briscoe. “I deeply appreciate the support from Dr. Flamm as well as the cabinet and board at Grace which allows our programs the opportunity to compete at the national level. We thank the Lord for the platform to make Christ known through athletics.”
The Lancers own 20 national championships in school history, including 18 in the past five years.
