Hanna, Lake Nab All-CCAC Honors for Titans Volleyball
CHICAGO — IU South Bend volleyball closed its 2025 campaign with two student-athletes earning conference recognition, as senior libero Sydney Hanna was named First Team All-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) and junior setter Brynn Lake earned Second Team All-CCAC, the league announced Wednesday.
Capping off one of the greatest defensive careers in program history, Sydney Hanna smothered the Titans’ back row with a record-setting 2025 season. Hanna posted 631 digs, establishing a new single-season program record, and on October 29 against Viterbo shattered the single-match mark with 45 digs.
The senior also became IU South Bend’s all-time digs leader with 1,848 career digs, closing her four-year career as one of the most decorated defenders in Titans history. Her consistency and leadership earned her CCAC Defender of the Week honors in early November.
Over 121 sets this season, Hanna averaged more than 5.2 digs per set, which ranked second in the conference. She hit 20 digs 14 times, and ranked first in the CCAC for total digs.
Junior setter Brynn Lake earned an all-conference nod after orchestrating the Titans’ offense all season. Lake appeared in 121 sets, distributing 818 assists with an average of nearly 6.8 per set, which ranked third in the CCAC. Lake did it all for the Titans, though, adding 52 service aces, 295 digs, and over 100 points total.
A steady floor leader, Lake posted double-digit assists in nearly every match and showcased her versatility with standout performances such as four 40-assist showings. She finished the year on a tear, posting double-doubles between assists and digs in the final five matches of 2025.
