Adams Joins 1,000 Point Club
Notre Dame, Ind. Grace Adams notched her 1,000th career point in her 73rd game for the Holy Cross College Saints. Adams eclipsed the mark during the women’s basketball win over the University of St. Francis over the weekend; she now sits at 1,011 total points. She is the eighth women’s basketball player in program history to achieve this goal.
Adams, a junior from Elkhart, Indiana, is averaging 13.9 points per game for her Holy Cross career. She has led the Saints in scoring in each of her three seasons at Holy Cross College. This season, the 5’11 forward is averaging team-bests of 19.5 point per game, while pulling down 9.9 rebounds. Adams has helped guide the Saints to a 7-7 overall record and a 4-2 mark in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference this season.
“Grace has been an outstanding player for us the last three years,” said head women’s basketball coach Tom Robbins. “Her competitiveness, toughness, and skill level make her a matchup nightmare for our opponents every single night. I think she will go down as one of the greatest players to ever put on a Holy Cross uniform by the time it is all said and done.”
The Saints will be back in action Wednesday, January 10 when they travel to CCAC foe Olivet Nazarene University. Tipoff is set for 6:30pm.
