Holy Cross Men’s Basketball rolls at UM-Dearborn 70-53

Dearborn, Mich. The Holy Cross College men’s basketball team opened their 2018-2019 season on the road this afternoon at the University of Michigan – Dearborn. The Saints defeated the Wolverines 70-53. With the win, Holy Cross is 1-0 on the year while UMD falls to 0-1

Key Notes of the Game:

– Holy Cross limited UM-Dearborn to shooting 33% from the field

– HCC defense forced the Wolverines into taking 30 three’s with only shooting 17%

– The Saints shot 41% from the field and 37% from behind the arc

– Men’s basketball dished out 15 assists on 28 field goals

 

By the Numbers:

– Storm Cook led all scorers with 15 points on 5/14 shooting from the field

– Robby Jimenez went 4/4 from three and 2/2 from the line in route to 14 points

– DK Fox finished with 14 points on 7/10 shooting to go along with 6 rebounds

– Nate Miller stuffed that stat book with 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists

– Bryce Crosen had 9 points, 10 rebounds, including 2 charges taken

The Holy Cross College men’s basketball team will host Great Lakes Christian College on Tuesday, October 30. Tipoff set for 7:30pm in McKenna Arena.
