Holy Cross Men’s Soccer falls at Calvin

Grand Rapids, Mich. The Holy Cross College men’s soccer team traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan to face Calvin University in their final non-conference game before league play. Early in the match, Calvin would take a 1-0 lead with a goal coming in the 10th minute. That goal would be the only scoring in the first half, as HC would trail 1-0 at halftime. Juan Perez tied the game 1-1 with a goal of his own, five minutes into the second half. Calvin would retake the lead in the 65th minute with a goal of their own and add to that lead with a penalty kick goal in the 84th minute. The Knights would go on to defeat the Saints 3-1. With the loss, Holy Cross stands at 2-4-1 while Calvin moves to 6-0.
