Holy Cross WBB races past University of St. Francis (IL) 74-53

Notre Dame, Ind.  The Holy Cross women’s basketball returned from break to host the University of St. Francis in a CCAC matchup. The Saints found themselves down 8-2 early in the game but would battle back to take an 18-13 lead after the first quarter of action. Midway through the second quarter Holy Cross would extend their lead to 23-15 but would go cold from the field late and would trail 28-25 at halftime.

The Saints opened the third quarter with an 8-0 run to regain the lead midway through the third. Holy Cross would outscore USF 24-10 in the third quarter to take a 49-38 lead heading into the final ten. The Saints would build on their lead in the fourth quarter and come away with the 74-53 victory. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 7-7 and 4-2 while St. Francis stands at 7-7 and 3-3.
