Joey Garwood named CCAC Offensive Player of the Week

“Garwood gained CCAC Offensive Player of the Week distinction after averaging 21.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game over a pair of contests.  The sophomore guard also shot 40 percent from three-point range (6-of-15).

Garwood opened the week in a big way with 31 points and nine rebounds in a 77-72 nod over Kuyper College on Tuesday.  In that game, he shot 52.6 from the field (10-of-19) and 72.7 percent at the free-throw line (8-of-11).

Garwood followed that performance with 12 points and four boards in an 87-63 setback to Huntington University (Ind.) on Saturday.

The 1-1 split on the week gives the Saints a 2-3 record on the year.” –CCAC (Article Attached)
