HOOSIER BASKETBALL MAGAZINE TABS TOP 60 SENIOR BOYS
These boys were selected from approximately 1,500 senior players statewide. This event will be at Marian University in Indianapolis on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s Top 60 Senior Workout is highlighted by a dozen players that participated in the 2024 IHSAA State Finals including— Keenan Garner and Taden Metzger of AAAA Champion Fishers, Mark White of AAAA Runner-up Ben Davis, Kody Clancy, Jack Miller and Wyatt Zellers of AAA Champion Scottsburg, Jack Benter and Parker Hehman of AA Champion Brownstown Central, Isaac Andrews of AA Runner-up Wapahani, Devon Lewis of Class A Champion Fort Wayne Canterbury and Sam Mlagan of Class A Runner-up Bethesda Christian. Unfortunately, K.J. Windham from Ben Davis, who will play for Northwestern in the Big Ten, is not able to attend.
There is an abundance of point producers as more than 25 of the players averaged at least 18 ppg including eight that scored more than 21 per game— Philip Randolph, International (28.6 ppg); Benter (25.6); Micah Davis, Franklin (25.1); Jacob Scruggs, South Decatur (24.8); Andrews (24.3); Josiah Dunham, Evansville Christian (24.2); Isaac Schultz, Adams Central (22.7) and Mason Harvey, Seton Catholic (21.4).
Featured Top 60 players who will stay in the Hoosier State as Division I recruits are Evan Haywood, Brebeuf Jesuit (BUTLER), Drew Kegerreis, Roncalli (IUPUI), Benter (PURDUE) and Dunham (SOUTHERN INDIANA). More Division I talent will be on display at the Top 60 Workout with Jaxson Bell, North Central-Marion (ARMY), Davis (EASTERN KENTUCKY) and Jaxon Pardon, Carroll-Allen (BOWLING GREEN). Of note: Flory Bidunga, Kokomo (KANSAS) was selected, but can not attend due to travel for the McDonald’s All-American game.
Statistical evaluation, game observation and statewide research were conducted throughout the season and the state tournament to determine Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s Top 60.
Two sessions of the Top 60 Workout will be hosted on Sunday, April 7, 2024 by Hoosier Basketball Magazine, in conjunction with the IHSAA and the IBCA, at Marian University in Indianapolis (3200 N. Cold Spring Road).
Boys primarily from Northern and Southern Indiana will participate in the first session (12:45-2:45 pm EST). The remaining players, mostly from Central Indiana, will compete during the second session (3:15-5:15 pm EST).
Coach Christopher Hawkins (Indianapolis Attucks) will direct both sessions. Four other outstanding IBCA coaches— Heath Howington (Evansville Memorial), Matt Luce (Wapahani), Adrian Moss (Franklin) and Marc Urban, Chesterton)— have been invited to assist with on-court coaching.
KnowYourBaller will be filming the Boys Top 60 Senior Workout again this year. They will provide summary videos with all pertinent clips for participating players.
Both sessions are open to the public for admission fee of $8.00. Media can call (317) 925-8200 if interested in credentials for one or both sessions. The Top 60 boys follow.
