Illinois Springfield’s Soetan Earns GLVC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honor

INDIANAPOLIS – University of Illinois Springfield senior guard Daniel Soetan has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in men’s basketball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

·       Averaged 20.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.5 blocks and in two wins

·       Shot 60.0 percent from the field on 15-of-25 shooting

·       Led the team in rebounds (7) and blocks (3) against Saint Louis College of Pharmacy

·       Had a team-high 10 points in first half and finished with 14 in just 22 minutes as well

·       Against Purdue Northwest, he notched 27 points with a team-high nine rebounds and two steals

·       Earns first career Player of the Week award

·       Becomes second-straight Prairie Star to be honored by the league
